The lowest total sum in the bottom row wins!

Each cell shows the rider's rank in each segment. The brackets show the points for the first 3 places (-3, -2, -1) and the penalty points (+1) for segments not ridden (DNS: did not start), which will be added to the last rank score (example: highest rank is 5, then a DNS will be rank 6 + 1 penalty point). For the overall score, each segment's rank score is summed.

The different strategies for you:

Some riders may look to accomplish as many segments as possible without caring for best ranks but aim to avoid DNS penalties.

Alternatively, one could focus on achieving top placements and good bonus points by winning a few segments and skipping others.

Then there is also this strategy: look out for niche segments with few competitors — here chances for good ranks and bonus points are higher..
