Routes / Levels
The routes on the map are my recommendations for your rides. The route's start and end points indicate bus stops or railway stations that you could use for transfers. On these routes you find the timed segments and the marked start and end areas.
Interactive map
The map is interactive - you can zoom in and out, pan around and click on the routes. You can also use the locate button to get your current location. When you zoom in closely, you'll see the segments with the start and end areas.
Why is GPX required for submission?
Your GPX is not only needed for matching of segments but also stored as proof for your ranking. It archives the ride that produced the result.
How do the Start and End Areas work?
For calculating your segment's duration and travelled distance, the last track point before leaving the Start Area and the first track point after entering the End Area are used. This means you have no hurry leaving the start area or passing through the end area.
How does segment matching work?
Upload your GPX file. The app matches your track against defined segments (start/end checkpoints). When your track passes through both within the tolerance distance (25 m), you get a segment match with duration and travelled distance. After matching, you can submit to the leaderboard.
🚨 Important #1
Please use the same unique user name for all of your uploads! If you have troubles with an upload, contact me..
🚨 Important #2
Before submitting, check if you really rode the intended segment! For some segments it would be unfair if not all riders would ride exactly the same segment route!
🀝 Be true and be fair by checking before submitting!
Do I need timestamps in my GPX?
Yes. Segment duration is computed from track point timestamps. GPX files without timestamps cannot be matched.
Multiple laps?
If you do the same segment repeatedly, each lap is matched separately. You get one result per lap, each submittable. In the leaderboards it will always only be your fastest lap that counts.
Can I download GPX from the leaderboard?
Yes, each segment entry shows a GPX button to download the proof file.
